Visiting a class

Visiting a Class

If you feel the urge to come and visit, please feel free to do so.  If you do come visit, it would be ideal if you can arrive near the start of class (usually 7:30 p.m.).

When you arrive at the dojo, there is a lounge area out front.  there may or may not be anybody out front.  If there is someone up front, ask them to show you to the aikido class.  If no one is up front, walk through the lounge into the hallway and then take a left turn and into the area where the mat resides.

There may be an aikido class and a BJJ class going on at the same time.  Please feel free to introduce yourself at a break in the teaching.

Sensei will come over and give you a brief intro to the dojo and attempt to answer any questions you may have.  If you’ve arrived before class starts, you’ll have the opportunity to see our warm-up routine and then the natural progression of the class.  If you arrive after class has started, Sensei will show you the warm-up routine himself, as his teaching duties allow.

There are nights when all students have events come up so that they can’t attend class.  On those nights, Sensei will often be on the mat doing some solo work.  His routine for the evening may end before the normal class time ends.  If you can call in advance (832-859-8692), Sensei will be there for to chat with you and go through what you can expect to experience on a one-to-one basis.

We invite you to come out and see the personalized attention you’ll receive as a student at Clear Creek Aikido.
